John – No president should use the National Guard as their secret police, but that's exactly what President Trump is doing to exert power in D.C. – and threatening to do it in other cities that don't bend to his will.

Los Angeles. Chicago. And Portland.

Tom Homan, Director of Homeland Security, has threatened to march up to our state and bring a band of ICE agents with him.

They're trying to intimidate any city that stands up and says, "No."

Here's the thing with wannabe authoritarians like Trump: they only have as much power as we give them.

So, I'm using my own power in Congress to rein his in. My bill will restrict federal law enforcement activity and end the era of unmarked cars and masked-up agents.

If you haven't gotten involved yet, jump in now. Go to a town hall, talk with your friends and neighbors, attend marches and protests. Use your power, too.

And, if you can, pitch in to keep Oregon's 4th district safely in Democratic hands and fuel the fight back against this con man and grifter. [[link removed]]
