Philadelphia DA, Larry Krasner here. I will cut right to the chase:
Deploying the National Guard into our communities is not a solution to crime or safety. It is reckless. It risks lives. And it diverts us from the real work of investing in neighborhoods, schools, and services that actually keep people safe.
Here’s what I told Jen Psaki on MSNBC:

“People do not join the National Guard to be civilian peacekeepers. They are not drawn to it for that reason. They are not trained for this. This is disastrous. We saw how this played out at Kent State in 1970 when unarmed students were killed — and now it’s happening again.”
As Philadelphia’s District Attorney, I have fought to protect constitutional rights, end mass incarceration, and demand real public safety reforms. But entrenched powers are pushing back — and they’ll do whatever it takes to try to silence this movement for justice.
That’s why I need you by my side. Our campaign is powered by grassroots supporters, not big donors. Will you contribute today to help us continue advocating for justice and against policies that put lives at risk? [[link removed]]

We’ve seen what happens when government answers community concerns with force instead of solutions. I refuse to let history repeat itself — and with you by my side, we can keep fighting for a safer, fairer Philadelphia.
Thank you for standing with me,
Larry Krasner
P.S. We have significant debt coming out of this Primary election. Will you pitch in a few bucks to help us fulfill our obligations to campaign staff and pay down debt? [[link removed]]
