➤➤ BREAKING: Trump’s DOJ sues Maine and Oregon for refusing to hand over voter data

John,
The Trump administration just launched lawsuits against Maine and Oregon, accusing them of “noncompliance” because their Secretaries of State refused to turn over full voter registration rolls, including private data.
Let us be clear: this is not normal. This is not business as usual. This is a full-blown authoritarian tactic to consolidate control and intimidate election officials.
Both Secretary Shenna Bellows (ME) and Secretary Tobias Read (OR) have stood firm in the face of Trump’s threats. They’ve upheld state law and protected the privacy of every voter in their state. And now they’re being dragged into court for doing their job.
Shenna Bellows said it best:
“They really need to stay out of trying to interfere with our safe, free and secure elections.”
This is about revenge, control, and dismantling the independence of our elections state by state.
Trump’s DOJ will not stop with Maine and Oregon. East or West, from corner to corner of this country, Trump and his administration will not stop. Other states will be next. And unless we push back immediately and forcefully, this authoritarian playbook becomes the norm.
That’s why DASS is going all-in to support the leaders on the front lines. But legal fights like this are expensive, and time is critical.
This is an URGENT development, John. Will you rush a $3 or whatever you can to help DASS support Secretaries of State who refuse to back down, who defend voting rights in defiance of this suppression campaign?
