John, thank you for your compassion and for helping refugees and displaced families survive, recover and rebuild their lives.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words—so I wanted to share a few that show the direct impact of your kindness and support. 💛

Children should be able to be children—no matter where they are or what they're living through. Here are just a few places where you're helping make that possible:
📍 GAZA
Â
At the Basmet Amal Center in Khan Younis, kids are able to laugh, learn and connect, while caregivers are offered guidance on positive parenting and mental well-being. These sessions offer vital relief and connection for families navigating the challenges of displacement.
📍 UKRAINE
Â
In a remote village in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, children are growing up without a school or a safe place to gather. The IRC team held 12 psychosocial support sessions to give kids a much-needed outlet to learn, connect, and express themselves. By the end, many asked if the team would come back—recognizing how meaningful and necessary this support is in their lives.
📍 MALI
Â
In Gao, Mali, the IRC is delivering flexible learning for children displaced by conflict. A mix of accelerated learning, pathways from Quranic schools, individual support and remedial classes led by our partners Azhar are helping to ensure education is safe and inclusive for children with a range of different experiences.

I hope these photos brighten your day as much as they did mine. 💛
