Because unless we act now , tens of thousands of local races in 2026 will go uncontested — handing MAGA extremists a blank check to rewrite the rules in our communities, from classrooms to public safety to local elections.

* 390 local Democratic teams need urgent resources to guide new candidates.
* Filing deadlines are already around the corner in states like Texas, Illinois, and North Carolina.
