Trump and his inner circle have openly declared war on the “radical left”. As the political temperature reaches a boiling point, Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller just vowed to wield the FULL force of state power to “dismantle” us.

This isn’t rhetoric – they’re looking for any way possible to crackdown on their political opponents. We don’t know yet exactly how they’re going to strike, but we are marshaling our resources to secure our organization as best we can – upgrading our software and tech defenses and investing in our legal team on standby.

Trump’s team is shouting from the rooftops that it plans to weaponize the law to silence its political opposition – which includes all of us.

Miller made their plans clear when he threatened, “It could be a RICO charge, a conspiracy charge, conspiracy against the United States, insurrection. But we are going to do what it takes to dismantle the organizations and the entities that are fomenting riots, that are doxxing, that are trying to inspire terrorism, that are committing acts of wanton violence.”

To be clear, we’re not doing any of those things! But we know their playbook. Find ANY way they can to bring charges, real or not, to bring down the organizations who dare to challenge them.

We are taking precautions – spending money on lawyers to protect our participants at rallies and quickly moving to audit our online security and bolster our legal team. But every dollar we spend defending ourselves is one less dollar we can use for grassroots organizing, phone banking, or supporting working-class candidates running against the far right.

We never wanted to devote precious time and money to defense instead of mobilization. But when the President of the United States declares all political opponents his enemies and his chief lieutenant spells out a sinister plan for all to hear, we have no choice.

When we organize, we win.
