John,
I’ll be honest: I hate asking for money.
While a lot of politicians cash big checks from corporate PACs, I never have and I never will. Instead, I rely on the support of everyday folks like you because you’re who I’m fighting for in Washington, not the special interests.
But here’s the thing: when it comes to politics, fundraising can mean the difference between winning and losing. Last year, our race to flip NY-19 was the most expensive in the entire country, and this time around it’s shaping up to be just as tough.
So while I know we’re doing things the right way by refusing corporate PAC money, it makes meeting our fundraising goals that much harder.
So I have to ask: can I count on you to chip in $19 or whatever you can today to help us keep NY-19 blue?

With gratitude & high hopes,
Josh
