It's National Voter Registration Day, John!
This civic holiday reminds everyone to check their voter registration status and register to vote!
With so many strict, confusing, and changing voter ID laws across the country, registering to vote is just the first step to casting a ballot that counts.
Every registered voter across the country also needs to do an ID check so they know what ID (if any) they need to show at the polls or what ID (if any) they need to vote by mail — or get an accepted form of ID if they don’t have one already.
Be sure to:
-
Register to vote or check your status
- Do an ID check
-
Make your plan to vote
There are state and local elections all across the country coming up in November. These local races can have a major impact on your day to day life, from education, to local taxes, to health care, to transportation. It’s critical that every eligible voter be able to participate.
Share VoteRiders’ voter ID resources with your friends and family and encourage them to do an ID check, too!
