The passing of Charlie Kirk- a friend and fellow Arizonan - has weighed heavy on my heart.
I want Charlie's memory to be a positive one, because he left such a positive impact on Arizona and the country.
BUT
Then I looked online. And I saw the venom and hatred and extremism among the Left toward Charlie, even in passing.
That's the same extremism that got him killed.
Let's not forget how this started. The extremism we see today, justifying political violence, includes calling Republicans "fascist"...
It began by letting Democrat leaders and their lap dogs in the media, call anyone they disagree with names and dehumanize us!
I have seen this myself here in Arizona- usually coming from the intolerant media.
And then, let's not forget the "extremist in chief"....
These people incite violence like this every day. They tell the American people that anyone who disagrees with them is a fascist or some similar thing.
If YOU actually thought a real fascist was in your city, what would you do?
The reality is, the hyperbolic language of the American Left- including here in Arizona- is incitement to deadly violence. It's a dog whistle to their crazies to do these kind of unspeakable things.
Turns out, when you dehumanize people for years because they believe different things from you, those who listen treat us as less than human.
