“Once Angel Tree got ahold of us, and through Camp Agape, that’s what made us closer to God.” —Beth
When Albert and Beth got married while Albert was serving a 10-year sentence, their two young children, ages 10 and 5, as well as family members, were in attendance. Beth wore a wedding dress, and Albert wore his orange jumpsuit.
Despite the wedding celebration, the uncertainty around Albert’s pending release date hung over them like a shadow.
Albert’s previous incarcerations—due to his gang-influenced involvement in drugs and violence—hadn’t felt as impactful as this one did, with his and Beth’s children now old enough to understand what having a father in prison meant.
Albert needed a big change. Prison Fellowship® Angel Tree became the catalyst that stirred up a hunger for God in Beth, Albert, and their children.
By reaching prisoners and their families with the message of God’s unconditional love, you help heartbroken families know they are precious and valued in God’s eyes. With your help, we can bring the hope of the Gospel to even more prisoners and their families—and transform more lives for eternity!
