Friend,
My parents were working class Americans, sacrificing to get by like so many in Northwest Ohio. But they made a good life for us here, the same way so many Ohioans did: with hard work, perseverance, and the support of their community.
Thanks to the sacrifices they made and the values they passed down to me, I became the first member of our family to attend college. But today, that version of the American Dream is increasingly out of reach for too many people.
Friend, with the cost of higher education skyrocketing, a four-year degree cannot be the only path to prosperity in this country.
The people who make and fix the products that keep America running should be able to live with security and dignity.
That's why I'm fighting every day in Congress to invest in job training and apprenticeship programs, protect union jobs, and level the playing field for Ohio workers. Are you with me?
With you,
— Marcy
