Normally when I write you I like it to be different from most of the political emails you get.

I've written to you in detail about the depth of corruption and self-enrichment of the Trump administration and the surreal experience of working in the Senate at this singular and disturbing moment in American history.

This email is different. It's more direct.

I am reaching out this morning with a last-ditch request for a contribution to my campaign before our mid-month fundraising drive comes to a close. Here's why:

Right now, Trump’s MAGA machine is flooding Georgia with attack ads to distort my record.

It is not normal for the GOP to be up on the airwaves and online with this kind of blitz this far out from the election. It’s because they know Georgia is key. They know I’m strong. And they need to knock me down.

Will we let them?

We knew these ads were coming.. But we’re facing more outside spending, earlier than we had expected – which means we’re going to have to ramp up our fundraising in order to fight back and set the record straight.

We will fight back. And we will win. But I can’t do it alone.
