We’re sorry to be so direct, but we really need your help:

Will you rush a donation of just $5 (more if you can!) to help Brittany Pettersen defend this seat and take back the House majority?

Listen, we know that message is a little more blunt than most of the other fundraising emails you probably receive. But with Brittany representing the most competitive district in Colorado currently held by a Democrat, this isn’t the kind of campaign where we can leave things up to chance.

We need to keep our grassroots fundraising in a good spot, and that requires sending out annoying emails like these.

In a matter of weeks, our fundraising numbers from the last three months will go public for everyone to see: Republicans in Congress, our potential opponents, and all their ultra-rich supporters.

So here’s the issue: If our fundraising falls short of expectations, and we have to release a report saying as much, it will send an unmistakable message to MAGA Republicans that CO-07 is more vulnerable than they previously believed. That cannot happen.

Given all the challenges our country is facing — and the consequences of next year’s midterms if Democrats fall short — we hope you can understand why we’re working so hard to put Brittany in the best position to succeed next year.
