Happy Sunday, True Texans!

I told my husband the email this week would be a whopper, so now we're both singing, 🎵 "Pull out the stopper... Let's have a whopper..." 🎶 Thus, the title of this email.  And now it can be stuck in YOUR head all day too...  😜

It's kind of a hodge podge, but here are the things I thought were worth pointing out this week...

Opportunities For Action
Our friend Bo French, who is the Tarrant County GOP Chairman, put out a list of folks you can report for death threats after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.  I love giving the Left a little taste of their own medicine.  We have not forgotten losing jobs for not wearing a mask, or J6ers being sent to solitary before charges were even made known, or any number of other dirty deeds the Left has used to make life miserable for us. I couldn't even list them all.  Now it's their turn.  Those who wish death on fellow Americans are not fit to teach our kids  Get to work:

We need you to help get as many of these evil people fired as possible. It costs you nothing and takes minutes. You can do it from your couch. We will provide a few below to help you get started.

TCU Political Science Professor Emily Farris

TCU/Brite Divinity Professor David Brockman

Brite Divinity Admissions Counselor and Recruiter Will Horn

TCU Grad and UW-Whitewater Professor Micah-Jade Stanback

If you would like more, the Libs of Tiktok account on Twitter has posted many, many more.

We will soon have a far more extensive list for you to search for employers to call. Keep up the fight. We owe it to Charlie.

We Are Charlie
It's been amazing and inspiring to watch the reaction to the loss of Charlie Kirk. I mean, yes, it's a loss -- but what a movement! If you're interested, you can read my take on it here. While there are multiple rallies and prayer vigils being planned and held around the state, the country, and even the whole world, there are 2 planned by True Texans!

One is happening in Lampasas and headed up by our TTP@Home hostess, Renee. It's Monday!

The other one is in Tarrant County, and it's not until Saturday.

Vet Those Candidates!
Ya gotta know who you're voting for!  Someone asked me to create an X Community where folks can discuss candidates, candidates can answer questions, etc.  I don't really know much about X other than how to make posts, but apparently since I have a blue checkmark by my name, I can create communities.  So I did!  It seems like a cool idea, but I don't know how to take it from here.  I'll let y'all figure it out.  The opportunity is there for the taking.  Check it out.  Tag candidates.  Ask questions.  Share your opinions.

Speaking of Voting...

Our Board worked really hard trying to figure out the best choices for the upcoming election on Constitutional amendments. There are 17 of them!  Good gravy. Sometimes shiny things are not what's best for us, but of course when you reject them, it gives ample opportunity for those who don't understand to throw stones.  We discussed them at length, and we didn't always have a unanimous vote, but we agreed in the end to go with this list.  You can read our explanations on our website.

SUPPORT: 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17
OPPOSE:
1, 4, 7, 11, 14, 15

True Texans At Work
Yet another True Texan has stepped into a leadership position and is asking for help.  Greg Switzer is our Director down in Bexar County, and now he's the Sergeant of Arms for the 2026 State GOP Convention too!  He is now recruiting deputies to help with this big task.  Please email him if you're interested.

Stop Shariah
The Tarrant County GOP just passed a resolution which allows the "religion" of Islam to work in the US, but their sharia cannot be used outside the mosques. We encourage you to get it passed in your own county so that it can be voted on at the November SREC meeting, and then hopefully added as a platform plank in July at State Convention and finally voted on next November.  It's a long process, but it starts NOW! Share it with your social media contacts. If you would like a copy of the resolution, email Dorrie.

Speaking of Shariah...
Last week's email got some attention!  The media thought perhaps they'd throw us under the bus, but boy did it backfire!  The email talked about 9/11 and how quickly we forgot (after promising not to), and I lamented how many Muslims are being elected to office.  Of course the media labeled me a bigot, and a Ft Worth trash article was picked up by multiple big outlets, but everyone else?  Wow!  They thought the paper made us sound pretty good! They are grateful that True Texas Project will call a spade a spade, and they were not shy about letting me know.  Thank you for your support!  It's what keeps us going!  At the Grapevine 9/11 Memorial Service, the speaker said, "We refused to let fear have the final word."  I love that so much.  It's true of True Texans for sure.

Texas Skies
As promised, the presentation by Tom Glass discussing what is going on in the Texas skies was livestreamed for those who couldn't be in Hill Country to hear it in person.  You can watch here.

Fall Is Coming!
The weather is a bit cooler, and soon we'll all be in long sleeves.  In fact, check out this True Texan who already took advantage of a pleasant evening to wear her TTP sweatshirt with pride!  You can get yours at our online store.
