Last weekend, Republicans gathered at the California GOP Convention — and their main focus was Proposition 50.

One GOP candidate for Governor at the convention attacked Prop 50 as an “obviously corrupt, cheating move.”

That’s a total lie. Prop 50 — the Election Rigging Response Act — is our defense against Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans’ plan to gerrymander Congress in their favor before next year’s midterm elections even begin.

On the other hand… the founder of a pro-Trump special interest group talked about how he is terrified that passing Prop 50 means that Democrats will have a chance at taking back the U.S. House.

“There's another huge battle coming up next November, and if we lose three or four seats, guess who gets impeached for the third time? Donald Trump. And his entire agenda will be just like what he went through in his first term. It’ll come to a screeching halt.”

Well, he’s right about that. Passing Prop 50 this November keeps Democrats in the fight to take back the U.S. House in 2026.

✅ It’s the only way to stop Trump from stealing seats and silencing millions of Californians before ballots are even cast.

Republicans made it crystal clear at their convention last weekend: Defeating Prop 50 is their top priority. It’s galvanized Republicans in support of Donald Trump’s plot, and with help from dark money donors, they are ready to spread misinformation to swing voters up and down the state.
