🎥 Kevin’s Story: Resilience, Struggle, and Hope

Healing happens when we listen. In this powerful video, you’ll meet Kevin, a homeless Veteran who opens up about his journey—living with PTSD, the pain of feeling misunderstood, and the moments of compassion that offered hope.

Kevin’s story is a reminder that our food distributions are about so much more than providing meals. They bring dignity, community, and connection to Veterans who are facing hunger and hardship. For Kevin, and so many others, organizations like Soldiers’ Angels provide not only essential resources, but also the understanding and support that can make all the difference.

We invite you to watch Kevin’s story and be inspired to take action—because together, we can ensure no hero is left behind.

🌎 World Suicide Prevention Day

Earlier this week, we joined others around the world in recognizing World Suicide Prevention Day and reaffirming our commitment to the Military-connected community.

But the conversation doesn’t end after one day. In our recent blog, Suicide Prevention: Addressing the Whole Picture for Our Military Community [[link removed]], we explore the ongoing need for holistic support and the critical role compassion plays in saving lives.

For Service Members, Veterans, and military families in crisis, immediate support is always available—dial 988, then press 1 to be connected to the Veterans Crisis Line.

🎄 Holiday Adopt-A-Family Registration for Military & Veteran Families Is Now Open!

The holiday season is right around the corner—and that means it’s time for our annual Adopt-A-Family program! Registration is now open for military and Veteran families to sign up and receive support during the holidays. Through Adopt-A-Family, families are paired with generous sponsors who provide gifts for children and a grocery gift card to help with a holiday meal.

For many families facing financial strain, this program brings more than presents—it brings relief, joy, and the reassurance that they are not forgotten. If you know a military or Veteran family who could use extra support this holiday season, please encourage them to register today.

🍔 Whataburger Comfort, Sent with Love from Texas 🧡

A little piece of home goes a long way—especially for Texans serving far from home. Thanks to Whataburger, Soldiers’ Angels was able to send handmade Whataburger no-sew blankets to deployed Texans and Texas Veterans.

Whether born and raised in Texas or stationed there, these heroes shared how much they appreciated the cozy reminder of home while serving far away. It’s truly a match made in Texas, and we’re grateful to Whataburger for helping us deliver comfort across the miles.

"I have recieved the blanket, and would like to thank you again for it. It's great and the perfect edition to make my bed more comfortable." - Corine, deployed Service Member

"I received the blanket! Thank you so much, my soldier also loves it lol." - Alyssa, deployed Service Member

"I just wanted to thank you again for sending the Whataburger blanket. It was such a kind gesture and definitely brought a little bit of home and comfort out here. Thank you again for thinking of us and for the support it truly means a lot." - Kristina, deployed Service Member

POW/MIA Recognition Day

On September 19th, our nation pauses to honor Service Members who were Prisoners of War and those still Missing in Action. This day is a solemn reminder of our promise to never forget their sacrifice—or the families still waiting for answers.

At Soldiers’ Angels, we are committed to keeping that promise alive. Learn more about the importance of this day and the ways we show our support in our recent blog: POW/MIA Recognition Day: A Nation’s Promise That Never Fades. [[link removed]]
