Thanks to all of you who submitted a suggested name for one of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe’s new bison calves! Out of over 10,000 name suggestions, our partners from the Eastern Shoshone Tribe have narrowed the selection to three final names. Now it’s up to you!
These iconic animals once thundered across the Great Plains by the millions and we believe in a future where bison once again roam freely. This calf represents years of hard work and dedication with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe to reintroduce buffalo back onto their native lands of Wyoming—after an absence of nearly 130 years.
