PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Republican Party proudly applauds the appointment of Walter “Les” Presmyk as Arizona’s new State Mine Inspector — a critical role for a state where mining remains a cornerstone of the economy and public safety.

With over 40 years of mining experience and decades of public service, Presmyk is uniquely qualified to safeguard Arizona’s mines, miners, and communities. A former Principal Mining Engineer at Salt River Project and longtime Gilbert Town Councilman, Presmyk has built a career rooted in safety, transparency, and technical excellence.
