Letter from the Mayor
Dear Washingtonians,
As this newsletter goes out, Art All Night activities are already happening across DC. Tonight and tomorrow night, local artists are activating neighborhoods in all eight wards with performances, interactive exhibits, and more.
The best way to find out where and when Art All Night activities are happening is to download the new Art All Night app (the app is available for free on the Apple App Store [ [link removed] ] and Google Play [ [link removed] ]); you can also learn about events at dcartallnight.org [ [link removed] ]. Saturday’s festivities include the very popular Block Party at MLK Library, now in its fifth year, which includes Go-Go, jazz, art, comedy, a silent disco, and more. And this weekend you can also take advantage of Dine All Night, with participating restaurants offering extended hours, special menus, and unique dining experiences.

Art All Night is a highlight of 202Creates Month, when we focus on spotlighting and celebrating DC’s creatives. Earlier this week, we unveiled Art Ave [ [link removed] ], a new outdoor art gallery that includes sculptures and window art installations along Connecticut Avenue NW, from Lafayette Park to Dupont Circle. And later this month, we will have a formal celebration of our artists and changemakers at the 40th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards [ [link removed] ].
This weekend, stay up late, bring friends and family, and enjoy your city at its best.
Sincerely,
Muriel BowserMayor Bowser makes shea butter at the Yeleen Beauty Makerspace grand opening [ [link removed] ]
