John — I have a couple of questions for you.

Right now, who holds the majority in the House? Republicans.

And who holds the majority in the Senate? Republicans, again.

And the White House? You’re right, Republicans.

Yet since summer recess ended and I got back to D.C., it seems like too many folks are asking why Democrats are threatening to shut the government down.

The problem is, John, we aren’t in the majority!!!

We’re losing the plot here.

The real question we should all be asking is, “Why are Republicans willing to shut down the government, instead of passing a budget that actually works for the American people?” 

The bottom line is this: We need to flip the House majority and put leadership that will fight for working people back in charge. Will you pitch in today to help me do just that?
