For some weird reason, Gov. Brian Kemp seems hell-bent on keeping Georgia kids hungry.
It’s true, John. Brian Kemp has been given the opportunity multiple times now to receive federal funding for the USDA’s Summer EBT program. This program would give our state federal dollars to ensure that Georgia’s hungriest kids who rely on free or reduced lunch during the school year, are still able to eat when school is out.
40% of Georgia’s 2.8 million children are eligible for the assistance, but families are being prevented from making use of it.
We want to know what you think: should Brian Kemp put politics aside for the sake of feeding hungry kids
