Dear JOHN,

It’s been a heavy week. There’s no sugarcoating it. 

Charlie Kirk loved our God, his family, and his country. Charlie Kirk was a true American patriot that influenced a generation in a way that few in our history have been able to. Charlie Kirk was assassinated on Wednesday while standing up for his beliefs. 

While rational humans mourned in the moments following this heinous act of terrorism, the Left celebrated. MSNBC suggested that it may have just been a "supporter firing a celebratory round.” My colleagues on the left booed and shouted “NO” as prayer was requested on the House floor. A Facebooker commented “Your god didn’t help. Sorry.”

What has happened to our Country? On the night of the 1992 presidential election, my daddy, the World War II Marine and toughest guy I knew, prayed a very simple prayer: “Lord, please don’t let us lose our country.”

Pray for Erika Kirk and Charlie’s two young children who are going to grow up with stories, not memories.

Pray for the families of the thousands of Americans who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.

Pray for the family of Iryna Zarutska, the innocent 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee whose life was taken by a man who should have never been on the streets. 

“Lord, please don’t let us lose our country.”
