As a Recruitment Co-Chair for the DCCC, I’m fortunate to have the opportunity to find and recruit new and exciting Democratic candidates to help us retake the House.

Some people know they want to run for office, while others aren’t always sure how to get started. That’s one place where I can help!

As a dad, husband, and the only Democratic voice representing Kentucky in Congress, I’m able to talk to potential candidates about how to win in deep red states and the challenges of balancing both family and work responsibilities.

We’ve already got an exciting slate of candidates for 2026 (and plenty more work still to do!), and I’d love to give you some specifics below — but if you’re in a hurry or you’re already pumped up about flipping the House blue, please feel free to chip in a grassroots donation right away!

Democrats are specifically targeting 35 vulnerable GOP-held House seats next year, and I’m helping recruit candidates to win in critical battleground districts.

Rebecca Cooke is running to flip Wisconsin’s 3rd Congressional District. Last year, her race was one of the closest in the entire country, and Wisconsin remains one of the most important swing states in nearly every major election.

JoAnna Mendoza is running to flip Arizona’s 6th Congressional District. A 20-year Marine Corps veteran, she understands the challenges facing Arizonans and their families, and she’s ready to win this incredibly crucial race.

Rebecca Cooke and JoAnna Mendoza are two of our exciting 2026 recruits, and we’re working to bring on additional people in other key battlegrounds.
