At an event this week, Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand insisted that most Democratic voters are “pro-Israel.” That’s factually untrue, and she knows it.

Poll after poll proves that the opposite is true: an overwhelming majority of Democrats oppose Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, and do not support the United States continuing to enable it with weapons and bombs.

Democratic Party leadership is not actually this dumb. It knows its own voters oppose Israel's genocide. They are willfully out of step with their own voters because they'd rather be bought and paid for by AIPAC than stand up to them.

Gillibrand alone has accepted more than $925,000 from the anti-Palestinian lobby, including AIPAC and its network of right-wing megadonor-funded super PACs.

It's not stupidity, it's corruption.

If Democratic leaders like Gillibrand are unwilling to admit the truth and stop selling out to AIPAC, then they deserve to be challenged and unseated next year.

Justice Democrats has already endorsed two working-class, progressive candidates to take on AIPAC-backed, out-of-touch, corporate Democrats in the 2026 primary elections.
