NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya and Acting Deputy Director Nicole Kleinstreuer promised to “phase out” dog and cat testing. Instead, behind closed doors, they’ve renewed existing grants and approved millions in brand-new contracts to kill animals.

We're suing the NIH!

We’re demanding that the NIH release records on over $600 million in barbaric animal experiments funded by your tax dollars. By law, the agency must respond to our Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests—but they’ve ignored 15 of them, some for over a year!  

Here’s just a glimpse of what they’re hiding from you: 

• Beagles implanted with electrodes and force-fed experimental drugs. 
• Cats crippled with spinal cord injuries and forced to walk on treadmills. 
• Dogs bred to suffer from deadly heart conditions and bleeding disorders. 
• Healthy pets infested with parasites and biting insects.  

The NIH doesn’t want you to see proof of these horrors. Our new lawsuits are the best chance to force the NIH’s cruelty into the light.

Taxpayer, last time we sued the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture—and exposed the evidence to the press—we SHUT DOWN the fed’s largest kitten lab.   

6,635 animals were killed. Now it’s zero.  

And when we sued the Dept. of Veterans Affairs—and unveiled its atrocities to the court of world opinion—we CLOSED all its beagle labs.   

220 dogs were abused per year. Now it’s zero.  

Our new lawsuits could help BREAK the BACK of the NIH next!
