One of OMG’s brave undercover journalists was able to sit down over dinner with Keane Bhatt, the Policy Director for the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC).
Now the CPC is an official caucus of the House of Representatives with its own staff, paid for by our tax dollars.
To give you an idea of their politics, the Deputy Chairwoman of the CPC is none other than Ilhan Omar.
When I reviewed the footage with Bhatt, my jaw was on the floor.
So Bhatt, a government employee, not only called Trump supporters his “racist, right-wing base," but he also bragged about getting court injunctions to stop deportation flights while working to pressure local governments not to cooperate with the federal government.
Yep, read that right. The CPC, an office of the federal government, is pressuring local governments NOT TO cooperate with the federal government.
August is always a tough month to make ends meet. Families are back to school and distractions abound, so we are running behind and have a stack of bills to pay and a growing staff who need to feed their families on their meager salaries.
I want to give a shout-out to the men and women working at OMG. I have never had a better team. They are powerhouse workers who are committed to exposing the truth.
