Earlier today, the National Alliance to End Homelessness and the Women's Development Corporation filed a lawsuit, along with a motion for a temporary restraining order, against the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and HUD Secretary
Scott Turner. The suit challenges new funding restrictions that unlawfully condition access to federal housing grants on compliance with the Trump-Vance administration's partisan agenda. Plaintiffs are represented by Democracy Forward, National Homelessness Law Center, Lawyer's Committee for Rhode Island, and ACLU Foundation of Rhode Island.
The Law Center is honored to represent the National Alliance to End Homelessness to ensure federal funds are used for their intended purpose - to solve
homelessness.
