John,

Last week, masked ICE agents, Border Patrol officers, and Oswego and Cayuga County Sheriffs conducted the largest workplace raid in recent New York history at a factory in Cato. Nearly 70 people were detained, two dozen of which were parents. In the chaotic aftermath, many of those people were quickly transferred to detention facilities in Texas—and some have already been deported.

Our families are on the frontlines of the Trump administration's attacks on immigrants. While our local members and regional staff are still on the ground providing assistance to the families in Cato, we can’t do this work alone. We need your help. Will you make a donation?

DONATE NOW

We are preparing our communities for the President’s promise to flood the zone in NYC and across the state. We are also preparing to fight back. Join us by volunteering or by distributing Know Your Rights information and Family Preparedness kits in your local communities. The more informed our families are, the more ready they will be ready for whatever awaits them.

As New Yorkers, we must support each other in the face of these threats and ensure that the strengths we see in our economy and the diversity of our neighborhoods are preserved. Please, consider making a donation now to fuel our efforts to protect immigrant New Yorkers.

In solidarity,

Murad Awawdeh
