Do you remember your first Election Day? I remember mine like it was yesterday. I must have been six or seven, hanging out with my neighborhood friend at our local school where our parents were working the polls. I didn’t know exactly what was going on at the time, but I somehow knew, almost intuitively, that it was important… that this day mattered.

Dear Judicial Watch Member,

Do you remember your first Election Day? I remember mine like it was yesterday.

I must have been six or seven, hanging out with my neighborhood friend at our local school where our parents were working the polls. I didn’t know exactly what was going on at the time, but I somehow knew, almost intuitively, that it was important… that this day mattered.

That was the America you and I knew. A country where the people chose their leaders on one special day, Election Day. One day. One vote. One nation.

AAs an informed conservative, you know how radical partisans, activist lawyers, and crooked officials have attempted to dismantle Election Day (and the security it provides) by turning it into Election Week or even Election Month

That’s why I’m thrilled to report back on how Judicial Watch’s team is fighting for the integrity of Election Day. Thanks to your steadfast support, we have three active lawsuits (all critical and historic) challenging state laws that “extend” Election Day…and open the door to voter fraud.

  • Mississippi

  • We recently filed a brief to the U.S. Supreme Court opposing Mississippi’s attempt to overturn the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit’s decision which struck down a state law allowing ballots received up to five days after Election Day to be counted. We won a solid victory at the appeals court, and we are very hopeful the High Court will decline to hear Mississippi’s senseless attempt to overturn that decision!

  • Illinois

  • Our legal team is working overtime to prepare for our historic appearance before the U.S. Supreme Court on October 8th on behalf of our clients’ (who include Congressman Michael Bost, R-IL) standing to challenge a state law that extends Election Day by a whopping 14 days beyond the date established by federal law.

  • California

  • Our lawsuit on behalf of Congressman Darrell Issa (R-CA), which challenges the state law permitting ballots received up to seven days after Election Day, continues to work its way through the U.S. District Court for Northern California.

Counting ballots received after Election Day is a flagrant violation of federal law and encourages fraud and voter distrust.

While lots of organizations talk a good game about election integrity, Judicial Watch is the one organization fighting effectively to overturn these reckless state laws!

There’s no one else capable or willing to do the long hard work Judicial Watch does when it comes to safeguarding our elections. That’s why your financial support is vital to our succes.

Your support today will help us continue the fight by providing us with the resources we need to hire the best team of election law lawyers in the country, and dig in for the long haul to work through the legal system and the courts for ballot integrity and honest elections.

We have come a long way…and with your help now, we can do even more to protect our elections!

Sincerely,

Thomas Fitton
President
