Campaign Update:
THANK YOU to everyone that’s come on board in the first 48 hours to
support our campaign to raise $250,000 that we need right now to fund
the overwhelming number of projects that have sprung up over the
summer.
We’ve raised over $16,000 in the
first two days.
As we mentioned in our last email we are:
- Going to
court in Maryland to challenge the state's closed primaries (PA, OR
and WY are also looking at litigation)
- Recruiting thousands of independents across the country who are
building campaigns in their state, testifying in support of open
primary legislation, joining our litigation efforts, protesting
against closed primaries, etc.
- Pursuing
on-going efforts in both PA and FL
- Gearing
up for battle in Texas where the GOP has recently announced that they
want to close primaries and lock out millions of voters–this must be
stopped.
And this is just the tip of the
iceberg!!!

Over the next few weeks we’ll be
sharing with you how your support fuels our specific work and
meaningful change at the local and national level.
Plain and simple:
without Open Primaries and the role we’re playing partisan leaders
working around the clock to lock voters out would have a clear path
forward.

us, in a big way–not only to ensure that we’re able to tackle these
pressing and timely campaigns but to expand and take on more as the
demand for what we’re doing continues to increase exponentially.
Midterms are coming and now is the time for us to prepare for the
onslaught of attacks our election processes will be under.
