1) We Miss Him Already
Charlie Kirk was killed at just 31 years old while giving a political speech on a college campus - something your HOTLINE editors have done hundreds of times. It hits close to home.
Many of us at Unleash Prosperity are proud to have had long and close friendships with Charlie Kirk that date back to the moment he burst on the scene a dozen years ago. He was a forever-young soldier for freedom.

We'll never know what he would have gone on to achieve, but we believe he had the talent to be a President of the United States.
We recommend this video for those who wish to celebrate his lasting impact on our culture, our economy, and our universities.

2) Wikipedia Is EVIL and Slanderous
If you Google Charlie Kirk or use an AI prompt, as we did last night, it almost always puts Wikipedia at the top of the search.
However, notice below all of the fallacious and even claims bordering on libel that Wiki writes about Charlie, as regurgitated by AI:
They accuse him of being a racist who opposed the civil rights act, of promoting antisemitic theories and promoting conspiracy theories and FALSEHOODS (emphasis ours, but since when is Wiki the referee in determining what is true and false?) around election fraud, Covid, and cultural Marxism.
We don't understand WHY Google allows the fact-free and left-wing Wikipedia on its search engine and why it so often comes up first.
It’s highly ironic that Wikipedia accuses Charlie of promoting “conspiracy theories,” when this leftwing rag has turned promoting leftwing conspiracy theories into an art form.
PostScript: we notice that some of the worst claims about Kirk have suddenly been taken down.

3) Trump MUST Declare an Education State of Emergency
We shouted this out six months ago, and that was BEFORE we learned of the just-released abysmal and shameful test scores of our children.
Just to recap:
Only 35% of 12th graders are proficient in reading, the lowest in history since NAEP began.
The achievement gap in science between the highest - and lowest-performing 8th grade students was the largest ever recorded.
The steepest decline was for African American students, whose reading levels dropped 11 points -- almost twice the rate of their white counterparts.
Just 22% of 12th graders are proficient in math, the lowest since the current version of the test started in 2005.
Only 16% of low socioeconomic-status students scored proficient in reading while 50% scored below basic.
This cannot stand. Nothing contributes to income and racial inequality more than our rotten inner city schools. And no invading army could do as much damage to our society than the teachers unions have.
Trump should declare this a national state of emergency and order that 1) every child in every state will be given a scholarship to attend the school of their choice; 2) failed schools need to be shut down; and 3) teachers need to be graded, and the worst should be fired immediately.

4) Hey, Wasn't the Affordable Care Act Supposed to Make Health Care MORE Affordable?
Here we go again. Here's Yesterday's headline on health care costs:
[link removed]
The story finds that "Costs for employer coverage are expected to surge about 9.5% in 2026, while an employer survey suggested 9.2%."
Health insurance now costs an average of $25,500 per family. This is a tax.
[link removed]
Meanwhile, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for medical care services shows a 57.7% increase since January 2010.
Obamacare has exploded health care costs and Congress must reject proposed expansions in this year's budget or we will lurch further toward the left's dream of an entirely government-run health care system.

5) Progressivism Causes Crime And Murder
There's one screamingly-obvious common denominator of high-crime cities: progressive, one-party rule. Of the 20 cities with the highest homicide rates in the country, 12 are located in red states, but only one - Shreveport, LA - has a Republican mayor. And even there a Republican has run the city only 11 of the past 152 years.

Dallas is not one of the 20 most violent cities, and its Mayor Eric Johnson became a Republican in 2023.
His reason? "The future of America's great urban centers depends on the willingness of the nation's mayors to champion law and order and practice fiscal conservatism? He roasted the "inconsistent, poll-driven commitment of many Democrats" to those principles.
That seems so obvious one wonders whether progressives favor criminals over victims.
