Good morning John xxxxxx,
Today, we pause to honor the nearly 3,000 lives taken from us on September 11, 2001, and to remember the courage that met that unconscionable act of terror.
We remember the innocent men, women, and children who never came home; the first responders who ran toward danger; the service members who answered the call in the days and years that followed; and the families—especially our Gold Star families—who carry the weight of that sacrifice every day.
Twenty-four years later, the smoke has cleared, but the lessons endure. We are strongest when we stand together. We owe a sacred duty to care for those who served and those who still bear the invisible wounds of that day. And we must remain vigilant—defending our homeland, supporting our allies, and passing on to our children a nation worthy of the sacrifices made on its behalf.
In Virginia and across America, let us mark this day with gratitude, resolve, and unity. May we live in a way that honors the memory of the fallen—by serving our neighbors, upholding our freedoms, and choosing courage over complacency.
May God bless the families who still mourn, our first responders who keep watch, our men and women in uniform who safeguard our liberty, and the Commonwealth and country we love.
We will never forget.
Warm regards,
