My name is Abbiott, and I work with people tackling the effects of the climate crisis with CAFOD in Borana, southern Ethiopia. I’ve seen the devastating impact of the climate crisis. Water sources have dried up completely. Now, women like Ware walk over six hours a day - an entire working day - just to fetch water. Can you please help build water tanks in villages like Ware’s?

“It was very traumatising,” Ware said. “When I was pregnant, I had to fetch water in the mountains. Sometimes I felt so weak I could fall down, so I worried about my child.”


This Family Fast Day, we’re helping build life-saving water tanks in remote villages like hers. These tanks collect rain and bring clean, safe water closer to home, giving women time back, protecting pregnancies and keeping families healthier.
