Justice Democrats

Hey John,

Six days ago, Justice Democrats officially endorsed Angela Gonzales-Torres for Congress.

Angela is exactly the kind of candidate Justice Democrats was founded to support: a working-class organizer from a mixed-status family and a born-and-raised Angeleno who deeply knows her community’s struggles because she’s lived them herself.

This is our mission — to elect bold leaders who come from the working class and will never sell out to corporate PACs or special interests. Angela’s story is the story of CA-34, right in the heart of Los Angeles: one of the poorest communities in California, and one of the hardest hit by Trump’s cruel attacks on immigrants.

In Congress, she’ll be a fierce voice for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, higher wages, canceling student loan debt, and ending bottomless taxpayer funding for genocide and endless war abroad — addressing so many of the biggest crises facing our country.

The only way we’ll win big, transformative policy is by electing Angela and more people like her.

But here’s the truth: early support makes or breaks campaigns like Angela’s. Her incumbent opponent, Jimmy Gomez, already has the backing of corporate special interests and super PACs that can spend millions to defeat our movement – including AIPAC and Crypto.

But we have something more powerful than corporate Super PACs: the mandate of the people to clean up shop in the Democratic Party and usher in a new generation of leadership that will actually fight for us. Early donations give Angela the resources she’ll need to win and send a powerful message to special interests that our working-class movement is here to stay.

So John, with our first week almost behind us, can you chip in $5 or more to support our fight today?

This campaign is about giving a community at the heart of Los Angeles a representative who reflects and fights for the people who actually live there. With your support, Angela can win, and we can build a Democratic Party that truly works for the working class — together.

In solidarity,

Alexandra Rojas
