Dear friend,

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a day meant to raise awareness, fight stigma, and remind everyone who is struggling that you are not alone — and there is help.

As a mom, I’ve seen how isolation, stress, and pressure can weigh heavily on our young people. And as a member of Congress, I’ve made youth mental health a top priority — fighting to expand school-based care, secure federal funding for community mental health programs, and ensure that every young person can access the support they need.

But this work isn’t just about policy. It’s about saving lives. If you or someone you know is struggling, here are resources that are free, confidential, and available 24/7:

1. 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline [[link removed]]
Call or text 988 or visit 988lifeline.org [[link removed]] for free support, anytime.

2. Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line [[link removed]]
Call or text 833-773-2445 or visit masshelpline.com [[link removed]] to connect with trained clinicians 24/7.

3. Massachusetts Association for Mental Health (MAMH) [[link removed]]
Find resources, programs, and policy advocacy for mental health access in Massachusetts at mamh.org [[link removed]] .

If there’s one thing I want to leave you with today, it’s this: you matter, and there are people ready to support you.

Whether you’re struggling yourself or worried about someone you love, reaching out is a sign of strength — never weakness. I pledge to keep doing everything I can in Congress to expand access to mental health care and make sure no one feels left behind.

Sincerely,

— Lori
