Property Tax News You Can Use

Half now. Half later. 100% easier on your budget.

Your Budget Will Thank You—Half Payment Option Is Here. Tax bills will be mailed in October. Tarrant County property owners have the option to pay in two equal installments through the Half Payment Plan.

Important Grace Day Announcement: This year, November 30 falls on Sunday so the first half is considered timely if paid by December 1!!

DID YOU KNOW? There is no penalty or interest on the second half when paid by June 30!

Pay by Due Dates

To avoid penalty and interest, pay on time. Please provide the tax account number or property address with your payment.

Half Payment Terms

Taxpayers can choose to make the remaining half payment in one lump sum or in multiple partial payments, as long as the second half is paid in full no later than June 30th.

Late Half Payment

If the second half is not paid by June 30th, 12% penalty and 1% interest will be added and will continue to accrue at 1% per month per Tax Code Section 33.01.

The Half Payment Plan is especially helpful for individuals or businesses who prefer to spread out large expenses over time. Property owners are encouraged to review their statements carefully and consider this option if it aligns better with their financial planning.
