Hey there Friend,
To celebrate International Day of the Girl Child on October 11th, I will order hundreds of thousands of menstrual pads to help keep vulnerable girls living in Kakuma Refugee Camp healthy and in school for another year. This email kicks off USCRI’s fundraising campaign to fight injustice by providing free, safe period products to thousands of refugee girls living in Kakuma. With your gift of $20, $50 or $100 to USCRI’s Keep Girls Dreaming initiative ([link removed]) , these bright girls can continue dreaming of positive futures!

Generous donors have pledged $15,000 to encourage your new gift ([link removed]) . If we raise $50,000, we will be able to distribute over one million menstrual pads to refugee girls in Kakuma. Without access to these pads or the knowledge of how to navigate their periods, girls often suffer accidents that harm their health, disrupt their education, and affect their feelings of self-worth.
Last year, your donations allowed us to deliver a year’s supply of menstrual products that reached nearly 5,000 girls in Kenya’s refugee camps. I hope you will donate to support our initiative to promote menstrual justice in Kakuma. ([link removed])
Watch our thermometer ([link removed]) in the coming month to see how you and our other friends’ gifts are making a difference. And please — share this message with others who care about menstrual justice!
Thank you,
Eskinder Negash
President and CEO
P.S. Can’t give right now? Take a moment to sign our pledge and show your commitment to girls that periods are to be celebrated, not stigmatized.
