Dear John,

Last night, in front of over 1000 Texans, I had the distinct honor of introducing my friend, deskmate, and our next US Senator, James Talarico, at his campaign kick-off.

His message was simple: it’s time to start flipping tables.

We're done playing defense.

All of us must do our part to stand up to puppet politicians and their billionaire funders who continue to put their love of power over the needs of everyday Texans.

James and I ran together in 2018 – two young progressives entering the arena in races we “couldn’t win” because we were fed up with the puppet politicians refusing to stand up for everyday Texans.

In spite of the naysayers and the cynics, we both won our races, and every election since.

We have a challenge before us, that much is clear. But we will only ever get a Texas as good as its promise and the America our families deserve if we fight for it.
