Fellow True Texans, I'm whipping this off to you minutes after hearing the news about Charlie Kirk being shot in the neck. We are all still reeling from the girl stabbed to death on the train, and now this. Obviously we all need to be praying for Charlie. As I write this I'm getting messages, "There's no way he lived through that." He may have already passed before I even send this. But prayer is always the answer. For 16 years True Texans have been praying. You have encouraged me on more times than I can count that you pray for the safety of me and my family, for our leadership team, and so many others. We have prayer teams that meet every month, and we open every meeting in prayer. Keep praying. If you have not been praying, start now. We are all rocked by this news. Many of you will feel fearful... uncertain of the future. Pray for each other. Perfect love casts out all fear. Resist the fear the devil tries to bind you with, and the devil will give up and flee from you. It is scriptural, and it is a belief system I've modeled my entire adult life around. I urge you to deliberately do the same. You guys mean the world to me. I'm so proud we can lock arms and lift each other up. Just keep praying. For the love of Texas, Julie McCarty, CEO True Texas Project |
