This week, we witnessed a shameful capitulation by the Supreme Court, co-signing racial profiling by ICE agents. This disgusting, racist tactic has no place in our country, yet it's a stark reminder that our current Supreme Court prioritizes politics over the Constitution.
We didn't get here overnight, and there's no quick fix. But there is a path forward: building powerful people-centered movements to restore justice and dignity for every Texan.
For too long, Texas voters have been silenced by a state government determined to suppress our voices. As the second most populous state, Texas should be a force to be reckoned with, not a place with some of the lowest voter turnout in the country.
