We just won a significant victory to protect AmeriCorps programs in Maryland and across the country.
Thanks to our lawsuit, the Trump administration’s attempt to cut $184 million in funding for AmeriCorps has been blocked. These funds will now support programs that benefit our students, feed our neighbors, restore our parks, and serve Maryland’s most vulnerable communities.
In Maryland alone, AmeriCorps supports nearly 5,000 members who teach, mentor, and serve in programs like Frostburg State University’s ASTAR, which provides literacy, environmental, and food assistance in western Maryland.
I’m proud to say that we fought back and we won. But these fights aren’t over.
That’s why I’m asking for your help today. Will you chip in $25 or more to my reelection campaign so I can continue defending Marylanders from reckless federal cuts?
