Tomorrow marks the 24th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks that cost the lives of 2,997 civilians, first responders, and military service personnel.

It should be a day of reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for those who sacrificed their lives in the face of duty to protect thousands of innocent people.

But instead, Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson is doubling down on far-right conspiracy theories and spewing MAGA misinformation to get 15 minutes of fame:

This didn’t happen in a vacuum. Donald Trump has initiated a new era where the lies prevail, conspiracies undermine reality, and fear-mongering misinformation campaigns attempt to distract us from the issues at hand.

And now, extremists like Johnson feel empowered to rewrite history in order to make headlines and mobilize the far-right for their own political gain.

Everything they’re doing erodes the promise of American democracy — and we refuse to be complicit in their attacks.
