Hi John,

I am honored to introduce the eight young activists [[link removed]] joining It Gets Better as our newest Youth Voices cohort! Over the next several months, these LGBTQ+ young people will learn to use their stories and experiences to better advocate for themselves and their peers, while building lifelong connections and leadership skills.

Every class is unique — one year it’s filmmakers and environmental activists, another it’s poets and scientists. This year, we saw something extraordinary: a record surge in applications from Latine youth, resulting in a cohort that is 50% Hispanic/Latine.

That representation speaks volumes. As LGBTQ+, Latine youth are targeted by daily reminders that their safety and support systems are at risk, these young leaders of tomorrow are stepping into their power, finding comfort in community, and raising their voices louder than ever. We couldn’t be prouder.
