![]() Hello Friends, My name is Coles Whalen. I’m a singer-songwriter and a stalking survivor. For years, I lived through something terrifying: a man I’d never met sent me thousands of threatening messages, many suggesting he was watching me and wanted me dead. He was ultimately convicted of stalking in Colorado. But my case didn’t end there — it went all the way to the United States Supreme Court. That’s when I first met Phil Weiser. ![]() Phil personally argued my case before the Court, standing up not just for me, but for victims across the country. And when the Court issued a disappointing ruling, Phil didn’t stop. He immediately began organizing workshops to help prosecutors all over Colorado continue bringing and winning stalking and harassment cases under the new, tougher legal standard. That’s the kind of leader Phil is. He shows up. He listens. And even when no one is watching, he takes action for the people he serves. I recently returned to Colorado for my first performance here since my stalking ordeal began, to sing at a fundraiser for Phil. For me, it was a powerful full-circle moment — a reminder that who we elect matters deeply. ![]()
