We want to give you a quick but urgent update. Last Friday, AB 495 was amended on the Senate floor, removing one of the few safeguards left in this dangerous bill.

The new version drops the notarization requirement for Caregiver Authorization Affidavits meaning schools, daycares, and even medical providers could be forced to accept these forms without any real verification.

This development makes AB 495 even more concerning for parents and families of faith. And with the bill headed toward a full Senate vote, the timing could not be more critical.
