LCV

Friend — the Trump administration just pulled $679 million in funding for offshore wind port projects, and ordered work halted at others — all while electricity rates are soaring across the country.

The timing here is critical: right now, Congress is up against a September 30 deadline to make a deal to avoid a government shutdown. Extreme MAGA lawmakers are taking this as an opening to demand even more cuts to solar and wind investments — and we have to respond.

LCV is ramping up a major pressure campaign to protect clean energy in the lead-up to a deal, and a group of donors has just agreed to TRIPLE MATCH all contributions this month. Can we count on your help?

Our climate is under attack and electricity rates are skyrocketing, and cuts to clean energy will make things even worse. Now, with a government shutdown deadline looming, members of Congress, even Democrats, are under enormous pressure to agree to harmful provisions that would otherwise be unthinkable.

If the environmental movement doesn’t act quickly, MAGA lawmakers could get away with:

  • Slashing virtually all clean energy investments in wind and solar,
  • Defunding all climate work at the EPA, and
  • Attacking public lands to benefit corporate polluters.

Friend, we can’t let that happen.

LCV needs to raise $50,000 by the end of this month to show Congress that we will not let them prioritize polluters over people and the planet. Please, renew your membership today while your gift will be TRIPLED to help us pressure key lawmakers ahead of the September 30 deadline. $5 is all it takes >>

With gratitude,
