Here’s the problem: Right now, state and federal governments regulate drinking water contaminants one at a time. But our peer-reviewed analysis of more than a decade of data from over 17,000 community water systems shows that cancer-causing arsenic and chromium-6 often appear together – and can be reduced with the same proven technologies. The science is clear: Tackling co-occurring contaminants together is the most effective, efficient way to protect public health.
