[1]Democrats[2]Join us.
Hey folks,
Here’s what I’ve been telling people in Kentucky, where I’m grateful to serve as governor: If you feel like the current president is against you, I want you to know you have a governor who is with you.
And that’s what I’ll say to you, too: Wherever you live, you may have a mayor, a member of Congress, or a city council member who’s with you. And you certainly have a Democratic state party and the Democratic National Committee with you, too.
You’ve got people fighting to move us all forward. Here in Kentucky, I’ve worked for progress on health care, public education, and creating good jobs for our people. But under this administration, all of those priorities are under attack, and I’ve learned two important lessons I’d like to share with you:
First, that for all of us trying to serve our states, towns, or districts, our work is connected. What the Republican majority in the U.S. House and Senate do — like passing the largest cut to health care and food assistance in American history with Trump’s budget — directly impacts families in my state.
And second, I’ve learned that Democratic governors stand as our last line of defense against this administration. That’s why it’s so important that we elect a Democratic governor in Virginia and New Jersey this November. It’s also critical we take back Congress.
These fights matter. I’m doing all I can to protect our people, and I know my fellow Democrats are with me.
I’m writing to you now because these lessons make clear the importance of a strong Democratic National Committee. Only the DNC works to support and elect Democrats at all levels of government, nationwide, every single year. That work is more important than it’s ever been.
Folks, the DNC is the place to chip in if you want to both support public servants fighting for our shared values now and strengthen Democratic power in the years to come. Please make a donation today:
