John,
After Donald Trump denied any involvement in the Epstein “Birthday Book,” we now have a copy of the personal birthday note Trump wrote to Jeffrey Epstein. As a member of the House Oversight Committee, I am incredibly proud of the work my colleagues and I are doing to seek justice and accountability once and for all.
Last week, I sat in on a closed-door meeting with several Epstein survivors. It was an experience I will never forget.
I heard from 6 women in their 30s and 40s who were between the ages of 13-15 years old when they were groomed, manipulated, and abused by Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and their associates.
It’s one thing to read the accounts of the abuse these women faced in documents. It was a completely different thing to sit in the room with these victims and hear directly from them.
As a young woman myself, I am in awe of the courage and resilience of these women for speaking out against their abusers and what is the most corrupt administration in American history.
So now we know — Donald Trump lied once again about his involvement with Epstein. The question that remains is: What else is he lying about?
The American people deserve transparency, and the victims deserve justice. We need the full, unredacted Epstein files now. Democrats on the Oversight Committee will not stop fighting until we have these documents in full.
If you’re able, please chip in to help me continue speaking out and fighting for accountability and justice.
