This might sound like just a rebrand, but it’s not.

We call it the Department of Defense because as a nation we prioritize defense over war. It’s a reminder to our leaders — defend our people first, go to war only as a last resort.

When we forget that, it’s Americans who pay the price.

Ruben knows that all too well. He fought in Iraq, saw his friends get wounded and killed, all in a war the Republican Party lied us into. That’s what happens when we put War over Defense.

And what’s the military being used for today? Vanity projects for a wannabe dictator. Deploying American soldiers in places like Los Angeles, Washington, and perhaps Chicago next.

If they want to call it the Department of War , and they deploy the military against civilians... what does that make us?

It’s not just a name. It’s an ethos. And we need to stop this in its tracks.

Ruben opposes Trump’s Executive Order turning the Department of Defense into the Department of Defense, and he’s opposing any action in Congress that would make it happen.
